There are two Fairs coming up at the end of May which I will be taking part in, starting on Thursday 24th May at Avington Park (at Itchen Abbas just outside Winchester in Hampshire) with a wonderful Decorative Antiques Fair promising all sorts of beautiful things for the home and garden. Thirty dealers in all will be selling their wares, both inside and out. Entrance fee is £5 and refreshments are available on site. I've not done this Fair before, but it sounds like a lovely day out! Open 9.30am - 4pm
Then on Saturday 26th May the return of the ever popular Vintage and Handmade Fair in Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire. A veritable cornucopia of all things gorgeously vintage and handmade! Loads of exhibitors, loads of variety, the best of its kind! Entrance fee is £1, doors open at 10am and the Fair ends at 4pm.
So with both fairs within two days of each other I've been busy making stuff to bring along, such as these decorative hair grips, made from lovely old buttons, ribbon and fabric 'Suffolk puffs'
Also 'Inspiration Packs' of vintage fabric, thread, buttons, ribbon, lace and paper ephemera; little project bags really, designed to get you inspired to create something unique!
Then there are bundles of lovely old fabrics, tied up with a tag of vintage buttons and a puff or two...
and packs of original old documents, papers and stickers, all individually printed and arranged for you to enjoy card-making, scrap-booking, collaging.....
As well as these I will be bringing along some choice antique pieces, including an iron painted cot bed, vintage clothing, beautiful glassware, old frames, boxes and much much more......
I really hope you can make it along!

Your hair grips and little goody bags look absolutely beautiful. Wish I could be there but sadly I am working on the 24th and doing a fair myself on the 26th. Maybe next time ... M x

well, I am too far away here in North Norfolk -where, might I just say, we have clear blue skies and gorgeous warm sunshine for the first time in Ages! - but I love your project bags and hope they do well for you. They are bound to appeal to people who maybe want to do 'something' yet don't have fabrics and so on stashed away, or don't really know what they want to do. A good starting point, great idea!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and hope all went well.
Having looked at your photos I now realise which stand you were. We kept looking at your screen and all the lovely things you pinned onto it. Wasn't it a wonderful day. I hope you did well.

Hello, I just discovered your lovely blog and I am taken back, and knocked breathless by the beautiful surrounds of the area for which you live and work. I would be getting up earlier and going to bed later, just to be able to spend more time in your village by the sea. I would like to invite you over to visit, and if I could I would have cookies and tea waiting on the porch. If you like what you see and would like to become mutual followers, I would be honored. I love making new friends and I am in love with your delightfully lovely blog.
